- Account information: Email address, password (securely hashed), optional phone number for account verification.
- Emergency contacts: Names and phone numbers (US/Canada) of people you designate to receive alerts.
- Timer data: Check-in history, timer durations, and labels you create.
- Location (optional): Only collected when you explicitly include location in a timer or panic alert. We do not track your location continuously.
How We Use Your Data
- To operate the safety check-in service as you configure it
- To send you timer reminders and notifications
- To send SMS alerts to your designated contacts when you don't check in
- To include your location in alerts (only when you opt in)
- To improve our service and fix issues
Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Timer history is kept for 90 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with:
- Twilio: Our SMS provider, to deliver alert messages to your contacts
- AWS: Our cloud infrastructure provider, for secure data storage and processing
